With it being New Years Eve I find myself reflecting on the past year. 2008 was a horrendous year. These are the major events that took place in my life in 2008.

· My sister died on May 26.
· My best friend died Dec 13.
· Another good friend died Dec 23.
· The IRS levied me and started garnishing my wages in June. (Fucking Ex!)
· I was investigated for sexually harassment in July. How embarrassing. (See what happens when you cut a man off?)

2009 will be a better year.

My New Years Resolutions

· I will stop hanging out at funeral homes. I refuse to attend another funeral for at least a year.
· I will file my taxes on time and file as head of household. Never will I file married again. Ever.
· I will not play at work. It takes the fun out of the workplace but it is necessary to maintain a paycheck.

How was 2008 for you?

Lets see:
Friend died.
Dog died.
Got fairly well insulted by the red-head at work.

BUT, on the plus side.
Made some wonderful new friends here (you know who you are)
Got a promotion.
For "some strange reason", the past few days I haven't stopped smiling.
Kicked the caffeine habit.
Lost weight.
Got out of debit.

Yeah those pluses may seem small to some, but overall I think I'm coming out on top here. All in all, while this has been a bad month until recently, I think it was a good year.

New Years Resolution:
Keep on keepin on.

2008 was okay.

Lost my job after being there a year.
Got a new job after lazing about for 4 months, one which I think has more career possibilities and also more long term prospects
Learned to cook properly
Decided true love really exists
Became more spiritual
Decided I no longer need to be dependant on my mother for childcare or fall for her emotional blackmail (feels really good at last to be free!)
Enjoyed looking after the man in my life

2009 Resolutions

Get my license finally
Take better care of myself
Get a promotion
Be more frugal
Become even more spiritual
Keep away from my mother and fake people who drain my energy
Meet up with my older sister in New Jersey. Haven't seen her for over 9 years.
Get out of small credit card debt
Avoid getting into more debt (have already lost credit card in my house somewhere- good thing)
Go on holiday, somewhere far flung
Meet up with good friends in different countries
Enjoy life more

2008 was far better than 2007,so it was okay.

I received my associates in Health Management
Enrolled for nursing school
Started talking to my best friend of 15 years after a year of not talking
Let go of the toxic people in my life
Had a very healthy year
Lost a lot of weight

My resolutions for 2009 are:

Continue eating healthy
Finish school
Get a job
Drink more water.. like 8 glasses a day (I hate water..)
Have another baby
Stop stressing the small shit

2008 sucked, however it was a bitter learning experience.

2009 will be better, I am home now in Sydney, I have great plans for myself and the children.

2008

Freinds/family died = 0 (for the first time)

Job = Found my dream job. Was possibly the first tattoo apprentice to be graded within 2 months. :::pats self on back::: I sacrificed a lifestyle in Canada for it, and am stoked I did that.

Relationships: Too many to savour and comment on. I actually crave for a good woman, not a slut.

Money: If it weren't for my previous investments in the last 5 or so years, I would be broke, but am now gaining altitude with cash on top of assets.

Religion: Decided I'm infact an atheist and not an agnostic.

Enjoy 2009 motherfuckers.

2009 Resolutions: Same as every year - Don't die.

I'm planning to be horribly self serving this year, fuck everyone else, they can all get screwed.

And thanks! :)

I see you've memorized the passage from the Australian Bible;

Paul 27:4 I'm planning to be horribly self serving this year, fuck everyone else, they can all get screwed.

Saint Paul is an inspiration in my life! Without his advice I would probably be a decent hard working individual.
