Play the detective - solve this murder mystery :
A man was found murdered one Sunday morning.

His wife immediately called the police.

The police questioned the wife and staff and was given these alibis:
The Wife said she was in bed reading a book.
The Cook claimed she was cooking breakfast.
The Gardener claimed he was planting seeds.
The Maid claimed she was getting the mail.
The Butler claimed he was polishing the silver.

The police instantly arrested the murderer. Who did it and how did they know?

In Edinburgh, 15% of the population have unlisted phone numbers. If you selected 300 names at random from the town's phone directory, on average, how many of them would have unlisted phone numbers?

No.
Its always the wife, ship her ass off.
It was a good guess, but only if the hubby had been diddling the maid ( which is probable) and the wife found out....and it's ALWAYS the guy's fault anyhow.

Lame ...

Because it said nothing about mail DELIVERY on Sunday, only that she was getting the mail.

I've go to get my mail on Sunday MANY times because I could not be bothered to do it on a work day. ( From my PO box. that is.)
Not everyone is a lazy assed plonker like you.
They DIDN'T have a PO box...so shut up!!!

Yeah ... he should get the "captain obvious" award.
OK, smart ass, one for just you.

The state of Texas added several taxes to everything. A $20 theatre ticket included a 15% amusement tax, a 5% city tax, and a 5% state tax. If there were no taxes how much would the ticket cost?
